Couple shots from last night. For the record, I was kinda tipsy, and thusly the photos are horrible - more so than usual. Sorry. It’s just too difficult for me while drinking, socializing, etc.. The only good ones are the ones Kristen took (thx Kristen!). The two in the photo playing doggie are Steve (Australia) and Melissa (Calgary, Alberta).

Party at huge spread out past La Playita, probably about 60 in attendance. You may or may not know G. Love (FaceBook page here), who was there having a good time, and was nice enough to jam on the guitar & sing for awhile.

My only recollection of G. Love was that he played the Forge once in the early 90’s in Victoria, and one of my former female roomates incessantly played one of his albums. Sort of alternative, hiphop, some rap… name was “G. Love”… must be some black dude, right ? Heheheh no no no, as I found out last night, for the 1st time. I never said I was smart, and apparently the music never grabbed me enough to glance at an album cover. *Shrug* I of course had to tell him this, surely I couldn’t be the only one that has made that mistake? He chuckled, and agreed that perhaps the rapping might have made me think that… He made a funny remark during our conversation about playing in Victoria, at “some place with really low ceilings”. Unquestionably, Da Forge.
